Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why buy Infrared Sensor products?
Our infrared products offer the latest in motion sensor technology. This ensures that you have little or no contact with waste or harmful bacteria. By avoiding or limiting contact the chance of spreading germs that can lead to sickness or disease is decreased. In addition, our product lines are perfect for people with disabilities.

Our engineers spent hundreds of hours making adjustments in an effort to create the perfect lid. Those efforts resulted in tight fitting lid that insures odors will be kept inside the bin. SilentX™ technology ensures the lid opens efficiently and quietly.

2. What kind of Sensor products does Nine Stars carry?
Autobin stock a wide variety of Stainless Steel and Plastic sensor bins in order to meet all our customer's needs.

All stainless steel is commercial 304 grade to offer unrivaled protection from rust and water damage. Whether you choose our brushed or mirrored finish you will find our products very easy to clean.

The Plastic Trash Cans are made from ABS plastic. ABS plastic is the highest grade of plastic in the market. This type of plastic will not crack, change shape, or change color due to variations in climate

3. How does the Infrared Sensor work and for what purpose?
Our patented Infrared Sensor Technology detects motion within ten inches. The actual sensor that controls the opening mechanism is perfectly located on the top and at the front of the bin to ensure that the lid does not open each time a person or animal is within range.

4. How long do the batteries last?
Autobins are battery operated and guaranteed to offer a minimum of 10,000 open and closings before new batteries are required. In most households that amount of openings and closings means the batteries could last up to 18 months.
